ABOUT MY PRACTICE

Integrative Health Coaching

My practice is dedicated to empowering you to be the healthiest and happiest version of yourself for you and your family. I am here to help you be more at ease, lessen feelings of stress and overwhelm, and live with more joy and love in your heart. I am here to help you identify and implement strategies to do the things you know are important like eating well, exercising, practicing mindfulness, and other lifestyle changes that too often get put off for another time. I am here to help you get to the next level if what you've tried isn't working. As your coach, I will listen, hold space for you, and provide the accountability you need to  take the lead in changing your life starting today. Focus areas include: women's health, parenting and life transitions, hypothyroidism, digestive issues, and lifestyle change.

ABOUT ME

As a certified health coach with over 15 years of experience in public health research and education, I am committed to helping individuals, families, and communities improve their health.

After college, I joined the Peace Corps and served as a health educator for two years in Senegal, West Africa. Since then, I have worked on a variety of health behavior and health policy projects spanning the health of children, families, and communities.

I am a mother of two young daughters who keep me constantly busy, loving, and learning everyday. Through this experience, I have been drawn more deeply to care about holistic and integrative approaches to health that nourish our bodies, minds, and souls.

In 2019, I completed a certification training program through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) to become an integrative health coach. As part of this program, I studied with many of the top leaders in integrative medicine and holistic health in the country and the world.

I received my DrPH from the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health, MPH from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and BA from Denison University.

ABOUT HEALTH COACHING

Health Coaching is a rapidly growing profession. It provides the rare opportunity for you to explore your health and wellness goals and to get real-time feedback and support on them. Too often when we seek out professional advice about our health we are met with a long wait time at a doctor's office, just a few minutes with the doctor, and very little information about prevention and healthy lifestyles.

Success stories from integrative health practices show that a common denominator for improved health can often boil down to someone taking the time to listen, really listen. Coaches are trained to listen and ask exploratory questions to help you find the answers you need. No one else is better qualified than yourself to figure out how to improve and sustain your health. Coaches are also trained to draw from evidence-based approaches and strategies to help you adopt and sustain lifestyle changes.

My approach to coaching takes a holistic look at what is going on in your life. Together we dig deep and identify root causes for your stress or health condition. We then work to implement new strategies, solutions, and ways of thinking to address these issues.

My focus areas include: women's health, parenting and life transitions, hypothyroidism, digestive issues, and lifestyle change.
